The Affected Communities Committee (ACC) meets monthly, except in July and September, and was formed at the behest of those infected and affected by HIV, in order to provide a forum in which issues pertinent to those directly impacted could be addressed. The ACC is the formal structure within the Council; additionally, the ACC serves as the convening body for a consumer caucus. The caucus is a larger, more informal body designed to provide opportunities for anyone affected to be involved and present ideas and suggestions. ACC members may be from the general public, as well as from the Council, but must be infected or impacted by the disease.
ACC is scheduled to meet monthly except for July and September due to holidays.
ACC MEETS from 3 - 4:00 PM on the first Monday of each month, at the Sacramento County Health Center, Community Room 2020, 4600 Broadway, Sacramento, CA 95820. However, due to COVID-19, all in-person meetings have been cancelled. Meetings will be held via teleconference with the call-in information published on the agenda.
ACC will not be meeting in July due to the 4th of July holiday.
ACC did not meet in April 2022.
